It was a beautiful summer day in Toronto back in 1963, when Crawford Custom Jewellers began their journey under the name Crawford Castings Co. For the next 30 years, Ken Crawford would spend all his time building one of the industry's largest jewellery manufacturing companies, servicing wholesale jewelers across Canada. Throughout the years he spent numerous hours in his downtown Toronto factory and acquired more than 35,000 molds which allowed the company to offer one of the largest selections of styles in the market. But Ken dreamed of something bigger which he could pass down to the hands of his daughter, Leanne. In 1993 the company moved from their downtown Toronto factory location to Etobicoke, at which time he unlocked the front door to his very first retail shop and invited the public to come inside. Ken loved time, and filled his store with almost every timepiece imaginable. If he wasn't behind the counter, he could always be found at his workbench - surrounded by ticking, whirring, and bells that chimed on the hour - giving his undivided attention to a clock or watch that needed fixing.

In 2005 Ken moved their store to a higher profile location in The Kingsway in Etobicoke. People trusted Ken and it wasn't long before Crawford's became the place to visit when weddings, anniversaries and special celebrations called for unique gifts of jewellery. Ken soon had a trusted assistant in daughter Leanne, who at the age of eleven found herself ensconced at the Crawford's counter, helping customers and absorbing everything she could about the jewellery business. Leanne graduated Sheridan College in 1993 making her father proud. She has been a trained gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA - Carlsbad, California ) since 1998. As a young women, Leanne took over the family business and has worked hard to make her own vision a reality - the dream of transforming Toronto's engagements, weddings and anniversaries into moments that sparkle with magic. Working side-by-side, father and daughter offer a wide selection of fine quality gold, silver and platinum jewellery. Specializing in all sizes and qualities of diamonds, coloured stones and pearls.

Crawford's specializes in both custom work and repairs and we have a highly experienced goldsmith on the premises at all times.
